About Us   NMT Capital ("Nexus") is a globally oriented private equity firm. It is currently managing three investment funds: two based in Europe and one in the US, and its portfolio companies are located in both continents. They are carefully selected from among a wide universe of potential investment opportunities to possess the best technology or business strategy available globally. Founded in 2004 as Nexus Medical Partners, Nexus has expanded its investment strategy to include IT investments as well. It is managed by three Principals who are supported by Advisors and affiliates in Quincy (MA), San Francisco, London, Munich, Geneva and Tokyo. The Principals have worked together for many years and possess more than 60 years of private equity investment experience between them. The backgrounds of the Principals include technical education, successful careers in line management of both established and emerging companies, serving on boards of directors of both public and private companies, and private and public company equity analysis. During their careers, the Nexus team members have managed over $1.5 billion. The Nexus investment style is a pro-active one. Our goal is to achieve maximum returns for our investors. We seek out the best investment opportunities—we don't wait for them to find us. Gone are the days when IPOs routinely delivered profitable liquidity. Now exits are the result of investors' hard work to mold the portfolio company into something an acquirer will want to buy and then to successfully market the company to potential acquirers (with or without the assistance of investment bankers). With its substantial experience in private equity fund management and its extensive network of contacts in the US, Europe and Asia, Nexus is consistently in a strong position to assist its portfolio companies in consummating exits as well as cross border licensing transactions and corporate collaborations that increase portfolio value.
